Richard Brock: Market Analyst

Richard Brock is president of Brock Associates, a commodity marketing consulting firm that provides price forecasting and strategies for sales and purchasing programs to farmers, agribusiness firms and the food industry. Brock Associates is headquartered in Milwaukee, Wis., with additional offices in Indiana, Michigan and Minnesota.
 
In addition to one-on-one consulting services to growers and agribusinsses, Brock Associates publishes the popular The Brock Report, a 24-page weekly newsletter, and Brock Daily Electronic Comments, three-times-per-market-day information, that details commodity pricing analysis and recommendations. These two marketing tools have been helping farmers and agribusinesses make better educated marketing decisions for close to 30 years.
 
Over the years Richard has written numerous articles for various magazines and newspapers and current writes a marketing column for the Corn & Soybean Digest and for Delta Farm Press. He also has authored three books: Grain Trading—Basics of Fundamental and Technical Analysis, Greater Profits Through Better Marketing and Commodity Price Analysis Made Easy. Plus, he’s a highly sought-after speaker, addressing agricultural conventions throughout the country on the topics of commodities pricing, agricultural policy, and long-term economic forecasting for the agricultural industry.

In the spring of 1995, Richard received the “Distinguished Alumni of the Year” award from Purdue University School of Agriculture where he earned his Bachelors of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics. He also holds a Masters Degree from Cornell University.
 
Richard was born and raised on a grain and livestock farm in Indiana. He and his wife, Cathy, have three grown children: two daughters and a son.
