•June 1st typically marks the start of Hurricane Season, but an upper level cyclonic circulation that formed in the Gulf of Mexico on the 20th of May has the potential to become a sub-tropical depression similar to Andrea in 2007. However, it's the lingering effects of the 2008 tropical storm season that are wreaking havoc in parts of Illinois and Indiana.

A wet, snowy March could push the threat in these areas to an even more critical level.
