HOLY Smoke---the soybeans are finally down to 15.5%--and the
humidity is already starting to go up--and the temperature will
be dropping soon. Laughed at faust and his 365 day corn, then 48
and his bindweed on a stick, NOW me with soybeans, the elevator
does NOT want anything above 13, but would work with small
loads up to 14---they are going out all the time--48 will blow
me away because we don't have enough air to handle that kind
of wet sh!t---well, the grandson has a pee wee foot ball game,
we will go to that---then maybe treat Marilyn to an early
birthday meal--at a place away from home--if I play it right,
I'll be able to pick up beer at the liquor store on the way
home.
Stay safe everyone.

Bit into a few beans today about 4:00PM. Like biting into a wet pea.

Happy birthday to Marilyn and Ken. Hope both get nice "presents".

Happy Birthday Ken and Marilyn!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMnQ1-Hw_wY

Saw the strangest thing in the sky today, it was bright round and
yellow. Hoping it will shine even more tomorrow and we can get a
few beans cut. Went to the store this morning to stock up on
food and supplies. Getting tired of getting all prepared to farm,
but can't get in the field. Sent the Mr. out to check the corn
today. Tests 26-27%. No rain in the forcast till Thursday.

I too was hoping to cut some SB today. Moved my SB head on the trailer to the next field. I had the end by the road cut before the rain. Spun out on the ends trying to get er turned around and parked.
I will look around after lunch but am guessing that we didn't get enough sun yesterday to allow me to cut SB today. We need sun and a breeze!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was hopin to run today and finish cutting on Monday
But don't think that will happen , Keep the faith.

Happy birthday, KEN!!

Without getting to personal, how did you get along this morning?
I mean with all that age following you, may have to get jumper
cables to get you going before long..

Marilyn's b-day isn't until the 21, but you should see the
forecast(weather)---might be to tired to help her celebrate
if we didn't last night...so we did have a late meal--after
the pee wee game

I believe Myron Denny's wife's birthday is also on the 21,
so happy birthday to her from us in Kansass.

I do believe I could mount one of those(pool heater) on
the clean grain elevator and get started a little sooner.

Dennis,,, any yields on some of that corn and soybeans we saw on the tour??

Just a word of caution guys and gals,be really careful with birth date in print on the internet...... All someone needs is your birthday and name and its really easy to get your Social Security Number. This has NOT happened to me, but I know FULL well what a pain in the azz a f'd up credit report can be and the major time on the phone it takes to straighten things out and how hard it can be to proof how it happened..... Happy harvest all!!!! Be safe...

Tas,
The bean field where 55 stopped and walked out to prove
a point---61 bu/a and the draw has not been cut---will beat
65.

The corn on the south side of hiway 24--just west of
Stockton---dry land--but flood irrigated by two
"natural
events"--(rain/more than adequate)--172

The neighbors harvesting soybeans finished a field
last night--one combine has a header full of soybean
plants---the other one has "vines" hanging from every
thing that will catch a tough string, or vine, or wire.
All the fans on their bins are screaming---

Stay safe!
